What does this course involve?
This course will provide you with advanced skills in the manufacturing industry and an opportunity to progress into the Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology.
As well as using 2D drawings, you will create your own 3D models using CAD systems, perform engineering measurements and computations.
You will perform fault diagnosis and install and remove bearings. You will also maintain and repair mechanical drivers and transmission assemblies.
Learn how to perform gland packing and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
What employment opportunities will I have?
The course focuses on hydraulics, pneumatics, and bearing technology. It can lead to employment in a range of industries where knowledge of these areas is required for proper plant maintenance. It can also lead to equipment maintenance employment in the building, construction and earthmoving industries.
