What does this course involve?

Develop the skills and knowledge needed for senior marketing roles with this course! You will gain a thorough understanding of marketing principles and learn to exercise leadership and strategic direction. Learn how to manage marketing processes and market research activities.

You will develop marketing plans and create organisational marketing objectives. Choose to study a range of specialist electives such as establishing compliance, managing finances and information, or providing leadership. You will have completed the Diploma of Marketing prior to enrolling, or have vocational experience working in a Marketing environment, but without any formal qualifications.

What further study options will I have?

You will be able to apply for the Associate Degree at Box Hill Institute or other courses at a more advanced level at other institutions and possibly receive credit for studies already undertaken.

Can I apply?

You must have at least one of the following:

  • successfully completed Year 12
  • successfully completed Diploma of Marketing
  • be mature age with work experience demonstrating an underpinning knowledge in the field of marketing.

How do I apply?

VTAC and direct entry - rolling enrolments. Beginning and mid-year intake.

All direct and VTAC applicants will be assessed individually and advised on a study plan to meet their goals.

A Year 12 applicant with no relevant experience will be eligible to study at Certificate IV level for six months, progress to a Diploma for six months and complete an Advanced Diploma in a further six months.

If you have relevant experience or another qualification you may be advised you can enroll directly into a Diploma or Advanced Diploma.

All applicants through VTAC will receive priority processing for beginning of year offers. You must use the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process. Details of the VTAC application process are at www.vtac.edu.au and in the VTAC Guide, which is available from leading newsagents and libraries. If the Institute still has vacancies after the VTAC places have been offered, direct applicants will be processed.

Government Subsidised Fees

  1. Tuition Fee - $4.33 per hour (max $2,500.00)
  2. Service and Amenities Fee - $65.00 or 90.00

Fee For Service Fees

Fee for Service - this course will cost $5,000.00 if you aren't eligible for government subsidised training.

Will my previous experience or study count?

Advanced Standing is approved recognition of prior learning that is displayed as an Exemption (EX) on the student’s academic record. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
