What does this course involve?

This advanced diploma course will prepare you for senior or management roles in a range of industries.

You will develop strong management, leadership and decision making skills and receive training in organisational development, strategic planning and managing risk and change.

You will develop and implement business plans, and gain skills in developing diversity policy and planning compliance management systems.

You will have completed the Diploma of Business prior to enrolling, or have vocational experience working in a business environment, but without any formal qualifications.

This course is also available to international students.

Can I apply?

You must have at least one of the following:

  • successfully completed Year 12
  • successfully completed Diploma of Business
  • be mature age with work experience demonstrating an underpinning knowledge in the field of management.

How do I apply?

VTAC and Direct Entry - rolling enrolments All direct and VTAC applicants will be assessed individually and advised on a study plan to meet their goals.
A Year 12 applicant with no relevant experience will be eligible to study at Certificate IV level for six months, progress to a Diploma for six months and complete an Advanced Diploma in a further six months.
If you have relevant experience or another qualification you may be advised you can enroll directly into a Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
All applicants through VTAC will receive priority processing for beginning of year offers. You must use the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process. Details of the VTAC application process are at www.vtac.edu.au and in the VTAC Guide, which is available from leading newsagents and libraries. If the Institute still has vacancies after the VTAC places have been offered, direct applicants will be processed.

Government Subsidised Fees

  1. Tuition Fee - $4.33 per hour (max $2,500.00)
  2. Service and Amenities Fee - $65.00 or 90.00

Will my previous experience or study count?

Advanced Standing is approved recognition of prior learning that is displayed as an Exemption (EX) on the student’s academic record. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
