Pre-Apprenticeship Courses

Box Hill Institute has developed an extensive pre-apprenticeship program to help you increase your chances of gaining an apprenticeship.

Pre-apprenticeships provide the opportunity for those wishing to gain apprenticeships to complete prerequisite courses relevant to the industry they hope to work in.

It can be difficult for students to gain an apprenticeship through lack of experience in the field. Pre-apprenticeships assist by giving students theoretical experience in the industry.

Completing a course from the program can also provide exemptions from subjects studied in the first year of an apprenticeship. This means that while pre-apprenticeships involve extra study, they can actually cut the workload down in subsequent years.
