What does this course involve?

This course provides you with the management skills to successfully run a hospitality operation or business unit.
You’ll learn how to develop and implement business, operational and marketing plans, manage finances and ensure high quality customer service at all times.
You’ll develop management skills, learn how to recruit, select and monitor staff and establish a safe workplace.
You’ll also receive the Food Safety Supervisor certificate which is required in all food venues under Victorian Food Hygiene legislation.
This course is also available to international students.

It is recommended you work part time in the hospitality industry while completing this qualification.

What further study options will I have?
If you are a citizen or permanent resident of Australia and meet the selection criteria, you may have the opportunity to complete a semester of this course overseas with one of Box Hill Institute’s Global Education Network (GEN) partners - currently in the USA and Canada. You must have a strong academic record and be able to demonstrate your ability to represent Box Hill Institute in a professional manner.
You may wish to progress into the Bachelor of Hospitality Management where you will receive up to 18 credit points from the Advanced Diploma.
