What does this course involve?

This course is designed to give you the essential knowledge and skills to work with clients with Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) issues.
You will learn how to work with intoxicated clients, and assess their needs. You will be trained in providing alcohol or drug withdrawal services and in maintaining an effective work environment.
You may find employment in a range of areas such as residential rehabilitation services, community-based organisations or outreach services.

- a drug and alcohol worker
- a family support worker
- a health education officer
- welfare support worker

- You must have a current National Police Record Check
- You must have basic computer skills
- You must have successfully completed Certificate IV in Youth Work or be currently enrolled in Certificate IV in Youth Work
