What does this course involve?
This course will give you comprehensive training in the specialist area of veterinary emergency and critical care nursing.
You’ll gain an understanding of triage procedures and learn to prepare, assess and monitor critical veterinary patients.
You’ll also learn how to deliver first aid, stabilise patients under veterinary direction and accurately collect patient histories.
This course will also teach you how to perform clinic pathology procedures, undertake office tasks and provide specific animal care advice.

Can I apply?
- You must have successfully completed Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- You must be employed in an emergency/specialist veterinary clinic
- You must supply evidence of your current tetanus vaccination
