What does this course involve?

This course provides comprehensive training in the specialist area of veterinary dental nursing.

You’ll learn how to admit, prepare, monitor and discharge dental patients, and apply radiographic routines.

You’ll also learn how to prepare equipment, theatre and personnel for dental procedures, process dental radiographs and provide support with advanced veterinary surgeries.

This course will also teach you how to provide specific animal care advice to clients and perform clinic office duties.

Can I apply?

  • You must have successfully completed Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • You must be currently employed in a veterinary clinic with a dental specialist who performs procedures in the seven dentistry disciplines:

      • periodontics
      • endodontics
      • prosthodontics
      • orthodontics
      • oral surgery
      • restorative dentistry
      • exotic animal dentistry

  • You must supply evidence of your current tetanus vaccination
