What does this course involve?

This course is designed to give you comprehensive training in a range of Occupational Health and Safety functions.

You will learn how to identify hazards and assess risks, implement strategies to control risks and provide advice on how to apply safe design principles.

You will also learn how to conduct an Occupational Health and Safety audit and evaluate an organisation’s Occupational Health and Safety performance.

This course will also teach you how to comply with Occupational Health and Safety and related laws, contribute to managing Occupational Health and Safety through a systematic approach and implement emergency procedures.

What employment opportunities will I have?

Designed for people already employed in Occupational Health and Safety roles, this course may help you progress into Occupational Health and Safety practitioner or supervisor (at middle-management levels) roles.

  • You must possess the motivation and enthusiasm to complete this course of study
  • You must demonstrate an ability to collect, analyse and organise information and correspond effectively

    Will my previous experience or study count?

    Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) takes into account the knowledge and skills you’ve already gained through your previous education and work. This may be through formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work experience, and can earn you credit if relevant to your chosen course.
