What does this course involve?

If you’re looking to start a career in sales or develop your existing knowledge of sales, this course will give you the essential training to become an effective salesperson.

This course will teach you how to develop product knowledge, identify and present sales solutions and secure customer commitment.

You’ll gain communication skills, learn how to interact with customers and develop your ability in marketing and management.

You’ll learn how to use your initiative within a business environment, handle business documents and deliver high-quality customer service.

You may wish to progress into the Certificate IV in Business (Marketing) or other business-related courses. You may be eligible to receive some credit for studies already undertaken.

  • You must have successfully completed Year 12 VCE or its equivalent, or have one year relevant industry experience
  • You must possess the motivation and enthusiasm to complete this course of study
  • You must demonstrate an ability to collect, analyse and organise information and correspond effectively
  • You must demonstrate a genuine interest in becoming a sales assistant
