This course is designed to give you an extensive knowledge of human resources to prepare you for work as a human resources officer (working with limited supervision) or as a supervisor of a human resources team.
You’ll learn how to manage human resource consulting services, performance management systems and remuneration and employee benefits.
You’ll also gain an excellent understanding of recruitment, selection and induction processes, as well as in separation and termination.
This course will provide you with training in relevant legislation associated with human resources, such as employee and industrial relations.
What employment opportunities will I have?
This course may provide you with employment opportunities as a human resources officer (working with limited supervision) or as a supervisor of a human resources team.
You may find employment within large private enterprises, large government organisations and human resource recruitment consultancies.
You may be working in areas such as:
- employee/industrial relations
- occupational health and safety
- employment policies and procedures
- employee records
- performance management
- training and development of employees

You may wish to progress into human-resource related courses at RMIT, Swinburne, Victoria and Deakin universities. You may be eligible to receive credit for studies already undertaken.

- You must demonstrate an ability to collect, analyse and organise information and correspond effectively
