This course must be completed by December 2010

If you’re currently working as an accounts clerk, this course will enhance your knowledge of basic financial statements and working within a business environment.

You will learn how to prepare budgets, assets and inventory registers.

You will also learn about office tax procedures, management accounting and making decisions within a legal context.

This course will also develop your communication skills, help you to use technology in the workplace and teach you the principles of working within the financial industry.

The course may provide you with employment opportunities to assist with budget preparation, or as a costing, or asset and inventory clerk.

  • You must have successfully completed Year 12 (VCE) of education, or equivalent
  • You must also demonstrate competency in the underpinning knowledge required for this course, that is in the Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounts/Clerical)
  • You must possess the motivation and enthusiasm to complete this course of study
  • You must demonstrate an ability to collect, analyse and organise information and correspond effectively
  • You must demonstrate a genuine interest in becoming an accounts clerk or similar
