If you’ve got an interest in basic accounting, or want to develop bookkeeping skills for the workplace, this course is designed for you.
You’ll learn how to work within the financial services industry, communicate effectively with others and use technology in the workplace.
You’ll gain skills in manual and computer-based accounting such as preparing receipts, processing journal entries and maintaining financial records.
You can choose to from a range of electives including how to process payroll, creating and using simple spreadsheets or reconciling and monitoring accounts receivable.
What employment opportunities will I have?
The course may provide you with employment opportunities in accounts receivable and payable, or as a book-keeper in charge of payroll, general ledger and bank reconciliations.

- You must have successfully completed Year 12 (VCE) of education, or equivalent
- You must possess the motivation and enthusiasm to complete this course of study
- You must demonstrate an ability to collect, analyse and organise information and correspond effectively
- You must demonstrate a genuine interest in becoming an accounts clerk or similar
