What does this course involve?

This course will give you the essential skills and knowledge to work at a senior level and undertake animal technology functions within a scientific environment.

You will learn how to perform routine animal maintenance for hygiene, health and disease monitoring, breeding and nutritional requirements of animals.

You’ll manage laboratory procedures, oversee compliance in animal technology and develop your communication skills.

You’ll also undertake a four-week work placement at an animal research facility.

If the Institute still has vacancies after the VTAC places have been offered, you will be able to apply directly to the Institute.
