If you want to work in the field of sports and recreation, this course prepares you for work in sports event management, sports administration management, sales and marketing, local government, plus sport and recreation organisations.
You will gain the knowledge and skills to implement and oversee activities for businesses involved with recreational activities and enhance leisure time experience.
The course covers a wide range of areas, including client services, communication, occupational health and safety, risk management, human resource management, event management, finance, technology and law.

What further study options will I have?
After completing this course, you will be eligible to apply for degree courses in a number of areas, including sports management (commerce), sports coaching and administration (health sciences), human movement (health sciences) and will be able to receive some credit for studies already undertaken.

- Mature age entry is available if you do not meet the academic requirements.

To apply for a full time position in this course must use the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process. Details of the VTAC application process are at www.vtac.edu.au and in the VTAC Guide, which is available from leading newsagents and libraries from August. If after the VTAC places have been offered, the Institute still has vacancies, you will be able to apply directly to the Institute.
