If you are interested in a career in public relations across a wide range of organisations, from corporate to local government to not-for-profit organisations, this course gives you the skills and knowledge required.
These include event and project management, writing, editing and marketing skills, market research and computer skills, and developing communication, media, multimedia and PR campaigns.
You will learn important skills such as how to write persuasive copy, conduct market research, promoting a business, using advanced computer apploications, making presentations and creating web pages.
There is a strong emphasis on the use of hands-on projects to develop the skills needed to work in the industry.
This course is also available to international students.

The Certificate IV qualification will allow students to seek positions such as:
- Public relations officer
- Information officer
- Publicity officer
- Website officer
- Administrator with PR functions

- To apply for a full time position in this course you must use the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) process. Details of the VTAC application process are at www.vtac.edu.au and in the VTAC Guide, which is available from leading newsagents and libraries from August. If the Institute still has vacancies after the VTAC places have been offered, you will be able to apply directly to the Institute.
