What does this course involve?
This course is designed for apprentices who make freestanding furniture.
You’ll learn about the techniques of furniture construction such as how to hand make timber joints, use hand tools and prepare surfaces for finishing.
Gain skills in assembling furniture parts from plans, reading and interpreting work documents and selecting the right materials for the job.
You’ll also learn about safety and communication in the workplace, and how to estimate and quote jobs.
