Music Performance

Box Hill Institute is at the forefront of contemporary music performance courses offering a range of learning outcomes and further pathways for a diverse range of students. Whether you have been working in another field but have continued music as a hobby, have just finished VCE, or are a working musician with no formal training, we have a range of courses to extend your musical knowledge and application of skills relevant to the music industry.

Our courses range from Certificate IV in Music Performance (Jazz/Popular) right through to the new Bachelor of Applied Music (Performance).

An audition, interview and musicianship test are required for entry into all music courses. A number of our courses are government subsidised, whilst others are full fee paying.

The staff at the Centre for Performing Arts are all experts in their field and are trained educators with many years experience in both the music industry and education sector. There are many success stories for our graduates. Our courses enjoy a great reputation, are relevant, industry based and provide opportunities for further advancement as practising musicians in the industry.
