The Centre for Industry Education and Training has a commitment to high-quality programs and services and the development of collaborative partnerships with industry. Flexible delivery strategies including online delivery enable work integrated learning to be facilitated by tertiary-qualified educators with extensive industry training experience. The Jobs Plus New Apprenticeships Centre and Employment Service is located within the Centre. Workplace Education and TrainingPrograms are designed to allow for on-site delivery with flexible timetabling; programs can be designed to include accredited modules whilst meeting the needs of the client. Customised training and delivery and assessment is provided for School Service Officers via online delivery. Retail, Wholesale and Call Centre traineeship programs are delivered by experienced workplace trainers and assessors. Language, Literacy and Numeracy SupportTertiary-qualified teachers provide customised programs to companies that have workers who require support in order to achieve competencies in their industries. Programs including Workplace Communication, Safety, Manual Handling, Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and Permits are developed utilising existing workplace documentation. Educational LeadershipThe programs 'Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training' and 'Diploma in Vocational Education & Training' are delivered both onsite in industry and at the Institute utilising innovative, creative and flexible strategies. Online delivery is a feature of the educational programs. Action learning projects are designed to enable participants to utilise their learning in the workplace. |
