What we do

The Centre delivers quality training across a range of industry areas including:

  • Residential and Community Care for the aged and/or disabled
  • Early Childhood Studies
  • Home Care
  • Health Care/Patient Services
  • Educational Programs for students with learning difficulties
  • Residential, Community Support and Juvenile Justice for young people

The Centre identifies and delivers training and education for the health and community services industry, and aims to prepare its graduates to meet industry needs.

Courses offered include traineeships and training programs customised for industry clients and delivered on-site.

The Centre for Health and Community Services has many years of experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of workplace training that is responsive to both individual learning needs and the strategic directions of the employer organisation.

The Centre for Health and Community Services offers training programs for those planning to become carers in the fields of aged care, youth work, disability work, patient services and children’s services. The Centre also runs programs in Work Education, VET in Schools and VCAL for young people with a history of learning difficulties.
