| Looking for a career as a professional celebrant with the skills to perform marriage ceremonies? Plan, Conduct and Review a Marriage Ceremony is the mandatory course within the Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy and is designed for beginners wanting to become authorised marriage celebrants with the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Marriage Celebrant Unit. In Australia, celebrants are appointed by the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department. Please familiarise yourself with their selection criteria and requirements at http://www.ag.gov.au/celebrants as successful completion of Plan, Conduct and Review a Marriage Ceremony does not guarantee appointment as a civil celebrant. Trainers for this course are professional celebrants with extensive experience both as trainers and celebrants. A comprehensive resource folder which includes all relevant documentation, legislation and sample certificates has been developed by Box Hill Institute. The training is intensive and requires homework to be done between training sessions. You will also be required to develop a resource folder containing wedding and relationship information relating to the area in which you intend to practise.
