| Accounting courses provide graduates with an opportunity to obtain skills ranging from practical basic book keeping to middle-level accounting positions. They will provide the practical aspects of bookkeeping, the skills to prepare and analyse basic financial statements and the preparation of income tax returns. Successful graduates are eligible for associate membership with the National Institute of Accountants. All students commence with the Certificate III in Financial Services (Accounts Clerical) and work through four semesters to graduate with the Advanced Diploma of Accounting. There are four qualifications which can be awarded in accounting: Graduates are eligible for credits into the Associate Degree in Commerce at Box Hill Institute. Or they may also apply to other higher education providers seeking advanced standing. |
