BioSkills, Specialist Centre for Biotechnology Training

Box Hill Institute has been designated the Specialist Centre for Biotechnology Training by the Victorian State Government, with a focus on functional development of participants.

The Specialist Centre for Biotechnology Training, BioSkills focuses on developing a leading-edge approach to workforce development in the areas of:

• bio-processing including aseptic techniques, fermentation, protein purification
• PCR, DNA analysis and other laboratory based biotechnology skills
• business and management skills
• intellectual property (IP) protection and licensing
• biotechnology commercialisation, entrepreneurship and innovation
• regulatory affairs.
