Offline activities:

  • read a section of the text book
  • attempt home-based practical exercises
  • attempt assignments
  • attempt problem sheets

Face to face:

  • attempt supervised practical assessment
  • attempt supervised written examination

Support for the learner

The course includes a number of features to support independent learning and to provide the learner with feedback on their progress. These features include interactive exercises, quizzes which provide the learner with feedback, provision to communicate with other learners via online discussions and e-mail.

In addition a tutor is provided to assist the learner to achieve the learning outcomes. The tutor may be contacted by e-mail to answer any questions and advise on any course related problems the student may encounter.
